My fiancé and I have decided to get married in October amongst the rich fall colors of Western New York. If you have ever planned a wedding you are probably going through the same thing I am.  You know, the one million questions lingering in your head before you go to bed…..

"What colors am I going to have?"
"What flowers can I have that will be in season?"
"What are my centerpieces going to be?"
"Can I do this on a budget?"

I usually end my late night banter to myself with, "You need to stop drinking coffee before you go to bed!"

That is when I got a great idea! I wanted to somehow incorporate coffee beans with my wedding décor. I have seen some brides incorporate lemons, limes, and sometimes even jelly beans. I needed something much richer in color for fall, and was happy to apply my love for coffee with my theme.

Planning a wedding, I have been doing a lot of wedding related internet research and have come up with these great coffee themed ideas. You can use them for your wedding or even for your next dinner party! Here are some I came up with…

orchids in coffee beansThe picture here shows fuchsia orchids in a vase of coffee beans with votive candles also incorporating coffee beans. Orchids hold up very well without water and are available each season. Other flowers that are available each season and in every color are Roses and Gerbera Daisies. Of course you can use any flower you want! I recently had a dinner party and used Lilacs and it was a hit!

Pink and Brown have become a very popular color scheme in general and for weddings. Other colors that look great with coffee beans and are popular with Brides are Tiffany Blue, Sky Blue, Orange, Lime Green, and Lilac. I sometimes like to hot glue gun some thick colorful ribbon on the vases I decide to use for some added effect!

Stay tuned for Part Two of Coffee & Marriage where I will show you how to make candle centerpiece featuring coffee beans on a budget! Also, let us know if you have any great coffee bean decorating tips! We love great new ideas!

Happy Decorating!
