coffee and creamer

I have to admit, I enjoy my coffee black; I usually drink it that way. When I make my coffee at home, I always drink it black because I am sure of what I am drinking. I know how strong it is and how much I am going to enjoy it.

When I am driving, or out to eat, and I feel like having a cup of coffee, I will almost always add creamer to the brew. I am guilty of thinking that, at most places, I am not going to get a good cup of coffee…so, I resort to putting creamer in it. I even have friends that really like drinking instant coffee. Needless to say, when I’m having coffee at their houses, I don’t drink it black. In my defense, I will always try the coffee first, if and only if, it is not good will I then add creamer.

I guess this makes me a part-time-creamer user. I’m curious; do you add or do anything to your coffee, if it is not up to par?

I usually drink my black, but sometimes if I like it sweet I'll add some splenda, but today I tried something different. I added some Vanilla Soy Silk Milk and it surprised me on how good it tasted.

I go back an forth regarding this. My first cup of java has cream, the next few sometimes do and depending who made the cup may not. I prefer to drink it black, especially if it is a GOOD strong brew. I think I add cream to my coffee to take the bitterness out. If the coffee is not bitter, I prefer it black.

I do not usually add soy milk to my coffee but vanilla soy milk is certainly a good idea. At one of the cafes I ran we actually had soy milk out for use in the condiment area because we had such a high demand for it. It certainly is a very healthy alternative to cream

Lucy,

I agree, it seems I enjoy a good coffee as you said, if it is a strong brew. To me its about the taste, and how I adjust the taste by using cream. If I know I will be disappointed in the taste I will add cream.
