I've put Gaggia Accademia on my wishlist since few years ago. However, due to the price (In my place the machine cost about $3,200) and all the negative reviews on superautomatic machines made me confused (about the coffee is not hot enough, bad froth, and etc).

Just looked through all super-automatics again, to see if I'm missing anything...I bought a referb Gaggia Brera a few years ago -- maybe 5-6. It's still just great -- not one problem or issue -- used daily, probably not maintained as often as it should but I do use special filtered water when making coffee -- very very difficult to get a 'regular' cuppa anywhere. Bought this refurbed for $700 in 2008 at 1294 shots. We've just passed 5000 shots without issue. This is a fabulous super-auto that we've relied on daily since 2008. We have also entertained several times per year and this machine never disappoints visiting family and friends.
