The Varia Aura is a smart kettle whose variable PID controller provides unbelievably stable brewing temperatures. The 1.5 L model has a high-volume spout designed specifically for large-scale pours like French press or for cupping. It heats quickly and quietly, but also features a programmable wake-up mode so you can have hot water ready as soon as you need it.

The PID-controlled temperature memory system keeps your water exactly how hot you want it—anywhere from 104°F to 212°F—for up to 90 minutes. From there, the ergonomic FLUX edition handle and flow control precision spout make delivering water to your French Press or tea mug so easy it’s almost instinctual.
If you need your water in a hurry, the Aura has you covered there, too. It heats 1.5 liters of cold water to 200°F in around 5 minutes and can even be programmed to turn on and heat water at a specific time.
You should get this kettle because you hate having to refill things, and the Aura holds a LOT of water. Despite that, the FLUX edition handle and controlled-pour spout make dispensing water easy, whether you’re filling a French press at high-volume or precisely spiraling into your pour-over dripper. Whether you think in imperial or metric measurements, the Aura kettle gives you precise control of your brewing temperatures. Spin the wheel to set your temperature anywhere from 104°F to 212°F and the Aura will hold that temperature for up to 90 minutes before automatically powering down.
The Aura kettle heats 0.8 L of cold water to 200°F in approximately five minutes with no noise whatsoever save the occasional bubbling of water and a friendly beep once the set temperature has been reached. A red progress bar grows as the temperature increases so you always know how close to the sweet, sweet taste of pour over coffee (or tea) you are.
Have hot water ready whenever you are with the easily-programmable wake-up mode. Just set the time you want your kettle to turn on and it will wake up and start heating when you need it to. If you forget about the kettle, no worries. Dry boiling protection automatically shuts the kettle off if the water boils away.
There’s more to the Aura’s design than incredible aesthetics. The gooseneck spout features a flow control restrictor that allows you to control pouring with precision. The ergonomic FLUX handle allows you to grip the kettle comfortably in multiple positions, making controlled pouring so effortless, it’s almost instinctual.
