Codes By Number

  • Code Walkthrough

    Understand the various codes and messages displayed on your machine's screen. If you don't see an article for the code you're looking for, check out this article.

  • E01 or E02

    These codes will indicate a grinder blockage or an electrical connection failure between the grinder and main power board. Cleaning and recalibration will always be the first steps to resolve these codes.

  • E03, E04, or E16

    E03 or E04 means the brew unit is blocked in home or work position. E16 refers to the brew unit sensor. Learn how to determine what this code means on your machine.

  • E05

    An E05 will indicate the machine's flow meter is not detecting water flow. Learn how to resolve this code on your machine.

  • E10 through E15

    This range of codes will refer to the boiler and thermostats. Learn how to access these parts in your machine.

Screen Messages

  • Brew Unit Messages

    This symbol will typically appear as a WATER DROP with a LINE STRIKING THROUGH in black or white or red. This has to do with the water sensor in your machine not necessarily the machine's internal water pathway.

    The machine may request a priming through words or pictures on the screen. Follow the on screen directions and/or press the button with the check mark you see on the screen. Processes may vary by machine.
