The Bonavita BV1800 Coffee Maker with glass carafe is a German engineered compact coffee brewing machine. The tinted water reservoir is graded for quickly measuring and has a wide-opening lid for easy filling. The controls and water system are designed to meet the ideal coffee brewing standards of water temperature, contact time, and coffee grounds saturation. A unique shower head provides complete saturation of the coffee grounds and optimal flavor extraction from your favorite coffee grounds.

At the heart of the BV1800 is a powerful 1400 W thermal block heater which achieves proper water temperature quickly and releases water only when it achieves the ideal coffee brewing temperature of 200° - 205° F. It can brew up to eight 5 oz cups of delicious coffee in under 6 minutes. The glass carafe with its large ergonomic handle sets on a hot plate with a separate 55 W keep-warm heater to maintain the brewed temperature without over-cooking the coffee. The hot plate features a 2-hour automatic shut-off for safety. This coffee maker is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association. It has a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty and comes with a starter pack of #4 Melitta paper filters.
