BWT Bestmax Premium Filter Package

Please Note: Connecting this system to your water line is easy, all you need to supply is a shutoff valve with a 3/8" compression fitting. If you have hard water or anticipate high volume use of your filter, we strongly recommend that you purchase the BWT Aquameter.

If you are connecting your filter to an ECM, Expobar, or Profitec espresso machine, the 3/8 BSP Male to 3/8 BSP Male adapter and Flexible Stainless Water Line, 100cm 3/8in BSP should be selected before adding this package to your cart.

Bundled for your convenience, the BWT Bestmax Premium Filter Package has everything you need to keep your espresso tasting great and to protect your machine from scale buildup.

BWT's Bestmax Premium filter cartridge is an all-in-one water filtration solution. Outstandingly suited for the filtration of water for hot beverages like coffee, espresso, the Bestmax Premium is a modular multi-stage filter that uses patented BWT Mg2+ technology. This unique feature mineralises the filtered water with magnesium, a known flavor enhancer that may be lost using other filtration methods. The Bestmax Premium uses the five layer filtration process detailed below:

1. Particle Pre-Filter - Separation of coarse particles such as sand and rust.

1. Activated Carbon Pre-Filter - Elimination of oxidants, protection of the ion exchanger against aging.

1. High-performance Ion Exchanger - Removal of hardening substances, adjustment of mineral balance.

1. Activated Carbon Nonwoven - Elimination of organic substances, chlorine, foreign odor and foreign taste.

1. Particle Fine Filter - Separation of fine particles and suspended matter.

The filter head can be adjusted to one of several blend settings based on the hardness of your water. The blend settings adjust the amount of water run through the ion exchange in ratios of 0/100, 10/90, 25/75, and 40/60. When switching out filter cartridges, the filter head will cut the flow of water to prevent leaks. BWT's Bestflush pressure relief valve is used to relieve pressure from your water line, flush old water, and is used in the initial install of your filter to activate the cartridge.

Also included is the BWT Inline Pressure Reducer. This inline valve can be used to reduce incoming pressure to your espresso machine or water filtration system. The reducer can be used to regulating incoming pressure between 2 - 8 bar and includes an F 3/8" BSP fitting to attach directly to your BWT Bestmax Filter Head. Also included is a 10 bar gauge to monitor line pressure so that you can adjust as necessary.

The filter package also includes a 3/8" hose set. The stainless braided hose is approximately 4' in length with a 3/8" BSPP (F)
fitting on one end and a 3/8" Compression (F) fitting on the other.
