Owning the Ceado E6X Espresso Grinder
The E6X from Ceado is their most compact doser grinder offering. Its on/off grinding is simple and intuitive, and, just like every Ceado, it features stepless adjustment. To tweak the grind, you simply have to turn the collar in small or large increments, it’s up to you; unlike on stepped grinders, which have a limited amount of grind settings. The E6X’s doser is designed with high volume in mind. Once filled, it accurately dispenses between 5.5-9 grams of espresso, whatever your preference, with the pull of a lever. Never missing a chance for innovation, Ceado specially designed the doser to compact the dose prior to dispensing it, so that the grounds fall directly into the center of your portafilter. Its powerful 300 watt motor never misses a beat, spinning those 64mm burrs quickly and quietly in even the highest stress scenarios. Given this fact and its NSF certification, the Ceado E6X would be an excellent addition to any high volume environment, whether it be the entertainer’s coffee bar or barista’s countertop.
We regard Ceado highly in terms of the innovative design elements present in all of their grinders. Like the others, the E6X features a high capacity overload switch, which cuts the grinder’s power if a blockage occurs so as to avoid any damage to the motor. Our favorite feature has to be Ceado’s Steady Lock Burr technology. This design keeps the burrs at a constant distance apart from one another, whether they’re grinding for one shot or one hundred. In short, the Steady Lock Burr technology makes grinding with the E6X seriously consistent. If you need a bigger grinder for a high volume environment, the Ceado E7 comes in two versions; both feature a doser, but one grinds manually like the E6X, and the other can automatically refill the doser when it hits empty so it’s always ready to go.
