Anodized Aluminum Construction
Housed in anodized aluminum, the etz–I is both durable and lightweight, making it the perfect travel companion.
Etzinger’s etz–I brings a whole slew of innovative features to the world of manual grinding, like full aluminum construction, a retractable ergonomic handle crank, and a grinding range wide enough to cover everything from Turkish coffee to cold brew.
Etzinger’s etz-I manual espresso grinder is housed in anodized aluminum, making it lightweight and durable, and the hand crank handle retracts into the body of the grinder for extreme portability. The lid of the grind chamber attaches magnetically, making it easy to load beans without having to worry about them falling out mid-grind. In fact, the whole grinder can be opened up without the use of any tools, which makes cleaning the burrs extremely easy. The etz–I is also available with an anti-static jig that help ensure your grounds are pillowy and clump-free.
The high-precision burrs can be adjusted across 89 stepped settings with an absolute Vernier scale from 1 to 23 (with four steps between each number). That’s a wide enough range to span every coffee preparation method imaginable, from Turkish to cold brew. Etzinger recommends using the following grinding settings to dial in your etz–I grinder:
Note that these are just suggestions (and there are some gaps in that range) so you may need to play around to find the perfect grind for the beans and preparation you’re using.
The etz–I manual grinder is available in both a Regular and Trim version, with a slimmer diameter, which makes it easier to use for those with smaller hands.
If you want access to well-ground coffee when you’re on the road, the Etzinger etz–I is the perfect coffee grinder for you. The retractable handle and anodized aluminum construction makes this one of the most packable hand grinders we’ve seen—it’s lightweight enough that you won’t notice it in your bag and durable enough not to break while it's bouncing around in there. You’ll also appreciate how easy it is to clean this grinder.
