Dual Bean Hoppers
Dual Professional Aroma Grinders can be used independently or with a 50/50 mix. Rest mode when not in use improves longevity.
JURA’s J8 Twin is an impressively compact super-automatic espresso machine, especially considering it’s packing two Professional Aroma Grinders. Why? So you can experiment with blending various coffees or have the option for decaf (or half-caf) beverages for later in the day. Tack on an absolutely gorgeous 6.7” touchscreen display and the Sweet Foam Function and you’ve got one of the most versatile, easy-to-use super-autos out there.
The J8 Twin has all the features we’ve come to expect from a JURA machine: Pulse Extraction Process brewing that pulses brew water through the puck for optimal extractions, 3D brewing technology for full puck saturation, and a variable brewing unit capable of dosing up to 16 grams of coffee. It brews some of the best-tasting espresso we’ve had out of a super-auto and foams milk to perfect latte and cappuccino consistencies.
But the J8 Twin does more than most JURA super-autos can. This is because it’s essentially two coffee machines in one. It features not one but two third-generation Professional Aroma Grinders that can be used independently or with a 50/50 mix. These fast, powerful, and surprisingly quiet grinders allow you to sample beverages with different roasts or prepare decaf or half-caf drinks whenever you please. They also automatically enter rest mode when not in use, which relieves tension on the burrs and increases their longevity.
The full-color, tri-panel touchscreen display—dubbed the Panorama Coffee Panel—gives users one-touch access to 31 highly–customizable beverage options which can be saved to up to four different user profiles. When we say “highly-customizable” we mean it: from the aroma control function that adjusts coffee strength to the ability to actively monitor and adjust grind consistency, coffee volume, and milk foam volume during brewing, the J8 truly allows you to customize your drinks exactly as you like them. In a world of intuitive, full-color touchscreen displays, the Panorama Coffee Panel might just take the crown as Most Intuitive. The screen is refreshingly large (6.7” to be exact), and the full-color picture icons make selecting and modifying beverages unbelievably easy.
But the J8 has even more tricks up its sleeve: we’ll start with the Coffee Eye, an ingenious bit of programming that automatically detects if your cup is in the right place so you don’t accidentally brew a beverage directly into the drip tray. Finally, the Sweet Foam Function allows you to blend your favorite liqueurs and syrups with milk as it froths. The result adds a sweetness and intensity to any milk beverage the J8 can prepare: from sweet lattes to caramel cappuccinos, French vanilla flat whites and beyond, the possibilities are truly endless.
Honestly, why shouldn’t you get yourself a JURA J8 Twin? If you want the easiest, most convenient way to enjoy an enormous menu of cafe-quality coffee and milk beverages at home, this is it. The dual grinders and Sweet Foam Function mean near-unlimited opportunity to experiment with recipes, all of which can be saved to distinct user profiles for easy access whenever you want them. Unless you’re holding out for a super-auto with cold-brew capabilities, it doesn’t really get any better than this.
