The Anna’s level of finish is also surprising for a machine this price—the polished steel exterior with premium metal switches and a manometer that displays brew pressure in real time make this machine stand out.
If you think you might want to begin your journey as a home barista, the Lelit Anna is a great place to start. It will give you the true home brewing experience without decimating your budget or your counter space. The PID controls allow you to achieve precision brewing and the switch between brew and steam mode is quick enough so as to not interrupt your flow.
The Anna’s PID controller allows you to exercise precise temperature control over the brew water within an enormous range of 176°F to 266°F though the PID will alert you if your selected temperature is too hot. We recommend starting with a brew temperature of 200°F.
You can monitor the brew pressure in real-time on the retro-style manometer on the front of the machine—look for low pressures during pre-infusion and then a ramp up to 8–12 bar during the full extraction.
Thanks to the 3-way solenoid valve, messy coffee pucks are prevented by draining excess brew water directly into the drip tray. You’re left with a dry puck that knocks right out!
The Anna’s housing is made of aesthetically excellent and easy-to-clean polished steel and features side and front windows that show the water level in the tank so you can brew with confidence that you won’t run out of water mid-extraction.
